In
1980 Joseph was Harold Freedman’s assistant on Harold's renowned
mosaic and painted murals.
“History Told in Glass”, “The Legend
of fire”,
“History of Horseracing”
9 years with Harold gave Joseph a strong grounding in the classical
approach to painting.
Joseph’s portraits capture the emotion and mood of people.
He uses chiaroscuro to create drama, giving the
sense of a real presence
of a person.
His landscapes are ethereal, evocative, dramatic and full
of light portraying the dreamtime pristine quality
and the majesty
of Gods
creation.
Joseph teaches classes at the Diamond Valley Arts Society,
also gives demonstrations and workshops.
